Helpdesk A/V Engineer

Technology Management (TM) is an approach to achieving strategic goals by selecting, prioritizing, assessing, and managing technology investments and related support work based upon their alignment and contribution to the company strategies and objectives. Under the supervision of the Director AV & Conferencing Solutions, the Helpdesk A/V Engineer Level I is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of the broad technology infrastructure that enables day-to-day business operations.

The Helpdesk A/V Engineer Level I may interact with senior managers, executives, and major stakeholders to implement plans and objectives for the company. The essential duties of the Helpdesk A/V Engineer Level I listed below demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required for this position. Other duties not listed may be assigned as necessary:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of priority)

  • Responsible for delivering customer service as defined by NET’s service programs delivered to customers.
  • Perform network and/or equipment troubleshooting.
  • Document any incidents encountered that are not satisfactory to the client.
  • Open new cases.
  • Provide 1st or 2nd level troubleshooting support to maintenance and conferencing customers.
  • Monitor; resolve; and/or escalate as appropriate issues that arise on all remote equipment monitoring (REM) application.
  • Process and confirm validity of return merchandise authorizations (RMA) requests.
  • Conduct system certification and Remote Equipment Monitoring (REM) system on boarding.
  • Increase technical knowledge through classes offered.
  • Perform up to second level problem determination.
  • Interact in person, by phone, and/or e-mail directly with client management and end-users.
  • Recommend measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.
  • Keeping abreast of current technology.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
