Site Surveys
NET offers remote and onsite customized site surveys and audits. Where facility blueprints are accessible, a phone survey option is also available. Site survey deliverables include:
- Complete site documentation of equipment including make, model and serial number
- Software documentation including version number and licensing requirements
- Equipment location and configuration including recommendations on cable drop counts, pathways, distances, data and voice network requirements, wireless coverage areas and data center/equipment hardware locations.
- Based on field measurements taken, NET will analyze the scope of the project against preliminary assessments and design, adjusting the project scope as required
- Documentation including a report defining results of the survey including: deployment/installation recommendations, clearly marked cable mapping, cable drop locations, data center and back office equipment locations, wireless access points, circuit demarcations
- Capacity plan and site preparedness analysis including an estimate of materials and labor for future installations
Typical site surveys and audits performed include:
- Complete physical layer surveys and audits
- ATM site surveys
- Power quality audits
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) surveys
- Wireless local area network (WLAN) site survey - prior to a wireless network implementation, a thorough site survey and audit is recommended. During a wireless site survey, NET will complete a comprehensive environmental and security analysis identifying power sources and cabling for the best areas to setup wireless access points. NET will also determine installation requirements; record hardware required and identify the best locations for antenna placement for all devices.
NET can also audit previously installed equipment to analyze whether your objectives including your original design and performance requirements are being met.
