Pin Pad Replacement
NET was the incumbent vendor for a mid-size national shoe chain when they were acquired by a well-known shoe and apparel Giant. This introduced NET, front and center, for all their IT needs for the rapid growth they are going to endure, including to the latest Pin Pad Replacement project for yet another acquisition.
NET provided full service & Support for the replacement of Pin Pads at each register for a national shoe chain

Project Scope
NET PM created a repeatable scope for the techs to follow. Although the scope seemed simple, there were requirements from the techs and store management that needed to be completed, along with communication from the customer’s help desk for stores in all time zones. NET’s PM got approval and buy-in from all stake holders and hit the GO button. Here’s a few details:
1. NET techs arrive onsite to complete site survey to see how many registers were existing and if there were enough cat5 cables for each pin pad.
a. YES - Cat5 cables, they were toned, tested and/or re-terminated, and labeled.
b. NO - an unmanaged switch was installed on existing cable and pin pad was patched in with patch cable.
2. Techs documented any prior IT issues and gathered info such as ceiling type and height for future projects.
3. Techs then dressed all cables, took photos and received signoff from Store Manager.
From Planning to Execution
Our team at NET understands the importance of accurately determining a customer's needs before starting any project, so we start each job with an onsite survey. This allows us to look into existing cabling as well as map out new cable counts and closet locations. After pricing it up in a unique quote tailored for each site, our technicians will begin installing all necessary cables - then there comes the network cutover during migration weekend! We top off every successful job by safely removing old equipment no longer being used.
"When I presented NET with a new technology, they said YES! They dug in and got the certifications needed and rolled them out!"
